Swiss permit for a Chair with US passport

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek your assistance in clarifying the travel regulations for our new chair, who holds a US passport. We would like to understand whether he can travel to Switzerland for meetings for up to 80 days a year without any visa complications.
Do we need to apply to a permit? I would appreciate any insights into potential restrictions or considerations we should be aware of.

You need to consider
a) nature of the activity he is going to perform in CH
b) duration of his stay(s) in CH.
