Bank holidays and national days while on maternity ?
Hello all,
I would like to seek your advice on how do we treat unused bank holidays for those employees on maternity leave who don’t use them during that month. We have a lady on maternity who will be combining her 14 weeks paid parental (since end of March) with holidays at the later time. Do we then add all unused bank holidays to her entitlement? In the past while working in other countries, we would add those days to their holiday pools and allow to use them at the later stage. Will that be the same in Switzerland?Many thanks and have a good weekend.

Feiertage sind datums- bzw. ereignisgebunden und können deshalb nicht vor- oder nachgeholt werden, schliesslich geht es ja darum, die nötige Zeit zu haben, um das an diesem spezifischen Tag stattfindende Ereignis feiern zu können.
