Hiring an existing part-time employee as a freelancer too?
Hi all! Thank you in advance for the support.
We have a 40% employee who is a project manager on a fixed contract. We’d like to offer him a one-month side project that’s not related to his current responsibilities (in our case, the design of our annual report), as this is also part of his skillset. What’s the best way to proceed?
- ask the employee to provide us with an invoice for the project, and ask him to carry it out outside his working hours as a freelancer
or
- increase the employee’s working hours for one month while the one-off project is carried out?
The employee in question is in the process of registering as a freelancer, but has not registered yet.

Er soll einfach die geleisteten Stunden melden für das Projekt und ihr zahlt ihm diese dann aus. Fertig.
Den Status als Selbstständiger zu erlangen ist nicht so einfach und wie du schreibst hat er den noch nicht. Also vergesst diesen Weg.
Risiko: wenn der SE Status abgelehnt wird, so werdet ihr wieder zu faktischen Arbeitgeber und müsst alle Leistung als AG erbringen. Also das was ihr mit meinem Vorschlag schon macht.
